As we explore basic chemical reactions and begin to understand chemistry we need the proper laboratory tools. When my project is fully funded, my students and I can work together in a lab that is safer and more modern to what we have had access to in the past. By providing my students with the tools of scientists they can begin to see themselves as potential future scientists. It is often stated that we should 'dress for the job we want, not the one we have'. By giving my students the proper eyewear, gloves, and tools they will have the opportunity to 'do it like a scientist'.

About my class
