The pattern blocks, dice, games, stories, and other center materials that I am requesting will be essential in ensuring that my students are successful in second grade math. They need to have activities that are engaging and keep their attention. My students are excited to learn and need to build their skills. They don't have the necessary skills needed yet. The materials requested will allow my second grade students to explore and experience the state math standards. They will be able to connect the math concepts being taught this year to real life. This is essential in helping students retain the skills going into the next grade level.
