Amazon Fire tablets will provide opportunities for my students to utilize and become more familiar with technology. The use of technology in the classroom is more engaging and can further student learning more than the traditional instruction can. Students are more excited to try new apps to support their learning. As they are a very diverse group and learn in different ways, as well as different levels, the use of technology supports their individualized learning and can greatly increase their level of success while also increasing their confidence and willingness to learn. These tablets will provide numerous educational experiences that many students would not be able to use outside of the school environment. Amazon Fire tablets will support math practice and exploration by providing access to apps such as IXL, XtraMath, using boom cards, telling time, counting money, and numerous others. Reading will be supported by practicing reading and spelling skills to improve fluency and comprehension. Access to these opportunities are not always possible when sharing limited devices across many grade levels, so being able to include these activities in the classroom daily will support more learning experiences!
