There is nothing like escaping reality in the pages of a good book. And students have never needed an escape from reality like they do now! Two years into the COVID pandemic, many students are feeling isolated and scared. It is my hope that reading relatable stories as a class will not only bring unity to my classroom, but provide opportunities for my students to connect with a book, with each other, and with the world. I want them to learn healthy ways to deal with the struggles of life, and reading uplifting, inspiring literature in one of the best forms of therapy there is.

About my class
