How do you calm an autistic child from screaming? The cushion chair-squoosh chair maybe just what the doctor ordered. It will aide in the sensory needs of my students. This will be a therapy tool used to help my students calm themselves by creating a relaxing atmosphere and comfy ambiance. One beneficial way to engage children with Autism in the classroom setting is to use sensory activities. These activities can stimulate the brain and improve the child's processing system. Students may have improvements in their social skills and in their communication. The area of fine motor skills my improve as well.
