My students are inquisitive, hands on, and SO much fun to teach! My music classroom serves all 600+ students at this elementary school, and I sincerely look forward to each and every class. Formerly a STEM school, our school is now promoting a STEAM curriculum, adding an "A" for the arts! Yay! The musical talent that these students possess has been somewhat untapped over the last few years as the music program got up and running in a school that's only 6 years old. These kids are learning to read music, to make comparisons to other subject areas (mainly math and science), to compose music, and to perform. We do all of this with a lot of fun games, dances, and activities in between.
