This opportunity to visit the Boston Tea Party Museum through a virtual tour will allow my students to see what it was like at the beginning of the American Revolution and events that led up to it. While impossible to visit the actual site of the Boston Tea Party, this opportunity will bring the experience of this significant historical event into our classroom. Additionally, students have heard the phrase "taxation without representation." This experience will give them context for understanding the meaning behind the saying. The American Revolution is directly related to the C3 social studies standards for grade 4.
