The supplies I have requested are for an after-school girls club. The supplies will help the girls to learn how to make good choices. The club is intended to teach the girls to appreciate who they are as unique individuals. Then to equip them with tools to become effective leaders. Since the time of the meeting extends the girls’ day, I want to make sure they have a healthy snack. We start teaching them to take care of their bodies through good food choices At their age, friendships are a crucial part of their day. We use the card stock to make scenario cards of “what would you do” in different friendship situations. This allows them to role-play different choices and discuss the possible outcomes from those decisions. Also, the card stock will be used for lessons and activity sheets. Finally, the markers and posters are for vision boards. I am so excited to help these girls dream of their future and realize that they can start taking those first steps to make it happen. The girls will soon be faced with the challenges of middle school. Please help me prepare these girls to be confident, compassionate and equipped leaders as they embrace their future.
