These books will be used for my 8th grade English Language Arts class. My goal is to build a bigger classroom library and instill a love of books in my students. They do not have access to books at home, therefore I've created an environment for them to explore and learn about Authors. I'm a firm believer in, "Readers are Leaders". Not only is reading entertaining, but it builds higher vocabulary, inspiration, thinking skills, and background knowledge. I've chosen engaging books for my students. I allow my students 15 minutes everyday to read a book of their choice in class. My favorite part is when the timer goes off and a student says, "This book is so good!" Nothing brings greater joy to my ears than to hear my students are enjoying a good book that they chose to read.
