Adding an iPad to my classroom would add fun and much needed technology skills to reading lessons! There are hundreds of reading apps that are proven to help struggling readers, and most importantly, help them realize that reading is FUN! I would love to bring an iPad into the daily lesson structure to enhance our reading practice and make our lessons fit the new age of technology. So many students that I teach have never seen the value and fun of reading, but having an iPad to use for engaging apps and phonics work will help to solve that problem! Our kids love technology and having stories read to them, and being able to manipulate words and letters. An iPad would bring the best of both worlds, reading and technology, together.
