Choice in independent reading is imperative in creating life-long book lovers. Help me give my students fresh texts in our classroom library to engage them as readers. My 7th and 8th graders will be embarking on independent reading tasks as well as engaging in book clubs. I hope to spark an ongoing discussion of shared titles that will encourage students to continue reading. With these books, I will be able to give students a wide range of choices in topic and reading level. Meeting students where they are is so important; especially this year.
