The students in my pre-algebra class are grouped in a 2 hour block everyday. This means that these students will spend 2 hours doing math. In order to make this a productive time, students will be using an online special education math resource called IXL. IXL is designed to specifically meet the needs of the student and allows them to engage in their learning. Student's will need headphones to keep the volume level down while exploring the wonderful world of math! I believe it is the little things that makes a difference in student learning. I feel that students will be more likely to focus if they have the proper equipment to use this online resource.
