I am a first year teacher and I think it is very important to create a classroom environment that is beneficial to both my students and me. I want to give them the opportunity to use games and building activities to explore and create. I also think it is important to be prepared in every way possible. I want my classroom to feel welcoming and relaxed which is why I would like a large area rug and stools. I also allow my students to come down closer to the board if they have trouble seeing and I think a large rug would be nice for them to sit on. I want my students to know that I care about them and their success. I think a great way to show that is by being prepared with everything they may need in the classroom.
