Hi! I am moving to a new school to teach first grade. I am so excited to start this new adventure and meet both my students and their families! First grade is my passion! I enjoy teaching students to read and understand math. When my students learn new concepts it is so rewarding. I love to have students work with hands-on materials and be able to use manipulatives to better understand concepts. I find this to be especially true in mathematics. When students are able to see the problems in front of them, they are more successful and able to remember how to solve the problem the next time. Math tools have become a daily tool in my classroom to help my students achieve success. I have found math is more enjoyable when it is hands-on and students are able to interact with the materials. I am so excited to being this new adventure with my new students and families. It will be a wonderful year filled with learning!
