A rug will help to set up the space for the calm down corner. While the book case would give us a place to put books, emotion wheels and other tools, and techniques that will help to teach our children proper ways to deal with their emotions. The bean bags and stools will offer flex seating options other than the regular school chair. Children with sensory issues can often feel out of control in their learning environment. This project would help them to mange their emotions and offer more comfortable seating than the traditional learning seating. Thus giving them the sense of control.
