My K-2 students are learning music using the Kodaly Method. This method involves reading books and singing or creating songs that tell the story. By donating to my project, you will help my students develop their creativity, learn improvisation, and sing! In addition, you will help develop their hand/eye coordination by using old school hand clapping and jump rope songs! Remember when you were in general music class and your teacher told you to open your book to page 45 and sing the old, outdated song of the page? Well, before I arrived at my school, that is what my students were used to. With the Kodaly method, they are learning music by DOING! Playing games, reading stories, creating music . . . instead of a boring music class, we are up and moving around the room! Your donation will help us create music!
