This is my first year teaching Kindergarten in a new room that had been vacant for many years. The furnishings are very outdated and not conducive to collaborative learning. I would like for my students to utilize the many magnetic items that we have, but we do not have any magnetic surfaces in this room. I really would like to create a fun space to learn for my class to practice and manipulate letters and sounds to make new words and share ideas with their peers. This is not possible with our non-magnetic chalkboard that is currently there. Please help our students enhance their language skills by providing them a new magnetic whiteboard. Students will work together to experiment and manipulate letters and sounds to create new words. In addition students will be able to make and create things with other types of magnetic manipulatives. This will become a very popular work area.
