All of our students want to be accepted for who they are. Unfortunately, students with disabilities are often not included in activities due to a lack of understanding among their peers. I work with students with a variety of disabilities who all benefit from inclusion opportunities. These materials will work in 2 ways to increase inclusion opportunities for my students with disabilities. 1) The books will teach the other students in the school about disabilities. 2) The simple games are accessible across skill levels. With these new games all of the students will be able to independently interact at playtime.
