Flexible seating allows students to move while they are working! It also gives them a choice and helps them feel empowered. They need to feel like they have choices. This would give them an opportunity to chose where they sit as well as who they sit with. Flex seating also allows students brains to work better and helps their core strength. A huge part of my class is teaching kids to breathe correctly and this will allow them to do that better! It will help them be more in tuned with their bodies from Pre-K up to 5th grade. We will also be moving quite a bit so this seating will make our transitions easier.
