In 5th grade students are expected to write and produce opinion, informational, and narrative writing pieces. Students will create books, essays, and responses to extended text. Our class needs general supplies to produce books, writing samples, and journal writing this school year. Supplies are also needed to keep their writing samples organized and a supply of paper to write their productions. These materials will allow students the opportunity to draft, edit, and revise without a limited supply of writing supplies. The more engaged students are with writing, the better prepared students are for life skills, master grade-level standards and be prepared for the state standardized assessment.
