The materials in this project will allow the students to create and print their experiences as 'stories of our lives'. They can also design a book cover for their printed stories and place them on the bookshelves for their classmates to read and create conversations of what they learned from each other’s storied experiences.
The ink will provide a visual to the ‘stories of our lives’ that they type on a Lenovo Thinkpad using a popular software MS word document. What’s more exciting is that students have personal pictures that correspond with their storied experiences and can insert them using the same software.
Once the printing is completed, students can use the engineering design process to create a book cover using everyday materials that are repurposed. Once the printed stories are ready, students can 3 hole punch, staple, glue, or similar and secure them within their designed book cover. On days in which social-emotional learning activities are planned, students will get into small groups to read his/her peers story.
