Do you recall using Time For Kids when you were a student? Did you get so excited every time it was delivered to your classroom? My incoming First Graders would truly appreciate the opportunity to read about current events with endless instructional possibilities. Time For Kids is a print magazine that provides great examples of journalism. My students would love to see relevant stories and powerful visuals that help them feel connected to their world. We can use this resource across content areas. Beyond Time For Kids, we are looking to expand our classroom library to show more racially diverse characters that look like my students. It is important for our kids to see themselves in the stories they read as well as people who do not look like them. Representation matters. Additionally, with your help, students will have access to high quality 1st grade aligned math games, fun ELA activities, high quality art projects and Social Emotional scenario games through the amazing website Teachers Pay Teachers (the resources are endless!) Thank you in advance for considering a donation to our project! The kiddos are going to be thrilled!
