My goal this year is to provide students with choice through texts. By providing our students with choice, we are empowering them as independent reader and learners. Choice fosters leadership and collaboration skills. It also allows them to make text-to-self connections, text-to-text connections and text-to-world connections. This year was tough. Students went from remote learning, to hybrid learning, to remote learning again. This year was nearly impossible to navigate for teachers and students. But at the end of the day, I just want students to fall in love with reading.
