Asking for headphones seems like such a simple request, but in a technological world, it is imperative that students have all the technical resources and know-how to complete tasks. I always ask students to bring their own headphones or earbuds for class use, but many of them do not own a pair. To make matters worse, we currently do not have enough headphones to share among students, and many of the headphones we do have no longer work. Many of the assignments used in my classes use the Internet (i.e. research projects, watching videos, completing digital activities, etc.) and also for teaching science and social studies. Having decent headphones will enhance their learning experience and cancel out distracting noises in the classroom. Your donations will definitely make a difference to my students and to me. A set of headphones will be left at each computer station and be accessible to all students in all classes.
