Having a greenhouse on the premises will get our students excited about learning Biology and may even give them a reason to learn about Photosynthesis and Genetics. Having a greenhouse on the premises will get our students excited about doing projects. Our students spend most of their day online and classroom learning. This greenhouse will get them out of the classroom and solidify understanding of various principles of life such as growth and development. They will begin by learning to sprout seeds and the greenhouse will allow them to begin in the cooler months. They will learn to start seeds and then begin experiments to learn about optimal conditions for plant growth. The project will be a reinforcement of the scientific method. A greenhouse will also instill an appreciation for plant care and begin learning the importance of farming and plant care across the globe.
