I would love to get my own set of the novel, The Outsiders. Our curriculum has changed this year and I do not have access to the books. I want my students to be able to have the actually novel in print rather than reading it online. Many of my students actually said they prefer reading from a book that is printed. Last year I asked my students what one of their favorite lessons from the school year was. Most of them said they loved reading The Outsiders. I was actually shocked to learn how much they loved the book and wanted to keep them for themselves. If I could get at least a class set, I could allow my students to take them home to read on their own for pleasure, since I will not be able to teach it directly to them in class this year. I think it is a great, classic novel that my students can relate to and really enjoy!
