The materials I am requesting for my students will help keep a positive learning environment. I teach 5 and 6 year old kindergarten students. For some it is there first time in school. It is difficult to keep their attention in the hard, uncomfortable, conventional chair. My students have a short attention span and need to move frequently throughout each lesson. If the students knew that they could move to a more comfortable seat when needed, they would be more engaged during instruction. Having flexible seating available, will give these little ones the opportunity to learn while in a comfortable position for them.
