Hi everyone! My name is Nicole and I am beginning my 6th year teaching full day pre-k in the inner city schools of Wilmington, Delaware! 80 to 90 percent of the students in my school live in low income households. Most of them face adversity and experience trauma in the communities and households. With everything my 4 and 5 year olds may face, they still deserve to be children. I want my students to come into my classroom and feel safe, welcomed, loved, and ready to learn. My classroom must be full with appropriate teaching materials, especially those that will support my teaching of social and emotional skills, which is extremely important for my students. Over the years these kids have changed my life forever. I am so lucky to work with these young people and call this my job. Thank you for your support!
