By examining owl pellets, students can better understand the food chain of a local creature. They will also identify the creatures consumed by the owl and predict by examining the skeletal remains in the pellet. By applying hands on learning, science comes alive in a very real way. Food chains, classification, sorting. We will also bring literacy and writing into the experience by reading about various owls and creatively write how the owl caught its prey. A fun activity that crosses multiple subjects! Won't you help me bring this to my students? They will be enthusiastic learners, for sure! Thanks for listening!
