My students are curious learners who will truly appreciate reading a novel that follows the struggle of a young man as he escapes the difficulties of Afghanistan and eventually makes his way to the US. It's a compelling story that addresses the universal obstacles of growing up, but also will expand my students understanding of other cultures. Literature bridges time and place allowing us to expand our perspective of the world. For my students this is an opportunity, to look at life from another perspective and expand their empathy. Our school is continually building it's set of novels for the classroom to provide students with access to incredible works of literature. This classroom set would be something that would provide students with a resource that would not only serve them in the classroom where they read it, but it's the type of work that would resonate in their memories for years to come. Your donations would be truly appreciated and provide a legacy that would continue with many students for years to come. Thank you.
