Reading aloud and talking about books with my students is truly our favorite part of our day. With these books I am going to add more diversity to my classroom library and read aloud stack. I can't wait for my students to see themselves (kids like them) in more books in our classroom library! Most of the books I have available to my students only represent about half of my class. After the recent events in our country, I realized how few diverse books I have and even fewer do I use as read alouds. I have chosen books that not only include characters from different ethnicities, but successful women, and students with special needs.

About my class
