I am an elementary school counselor and I am looking to utilize more technology in my counseling program. I am currently working on social-emotional learning skills with 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classes; I am also looking to work with small groups, as well as individuals because I would like to incorporate online programs into my curriculum. My students will be able to use these tablets to build their computer literacy skills and to create social stories. The tablets would be housed securely in my office and used SPECIFICALLY for students who seek or need skill building in pro-social behavior, interpersonal interaction, and diverse community building. I am hoping that these Kindle Fire tablets would provide the "fire" to encourage students to participate in social activities!
