It can be difficult to spend the entire day in a small uncomfortable plastic chair, and that is exactly what my students do. My middle school students are in my classroom six hours a day. I use activities that get them moving, but sometimes they would rather sit on the floor. With the use of the portable lap desks, my students will be able to use their computers and write while sitting on the floor. The portable lap desks will also provide the opportunity to work outside on nice days. My students are learning how to be educated in a traditional US school for the first time. With the use of portable lap desks, I hope to create a welcoming, safe, and comfortable environment to learn. My students will enjoy working together, reading, and practicing the use of technology in a way that is unique to any education they have had before. My students are excited to experience a new way to work in the classroom.
