This year my hope is to bring a new light to Social Emotional Learning (SEL) within my classroom. Many of my students experience or experienced trauma in their life, so allowing them to work on the floor makes the learning environment calmer. My hope is to create an atmosphere that allows everyone to learn to become a calm and cool individual. Cadets will use the ECR4Kids lap desks to work on the floor. The lap desks allow for structured and unstructured learning environment. Cadets will be able to complete their assignments on the floor comfortably. Research shows that flexible seating is beneficial to all, to enhance learning potential.
