Adding these books to our classroom library will provide students with the ability to read books they are interested in and use the experiences of others as a way to shape and change the world around them. There are many little ways to enlarge your world; love of books is the best of all” – Jacqueline Kennedy. I would like to provide a variety of literature to give them this opportunity to connect and expand on a true desire to read. Though my school has a library, many of my students come from low-income homes and owe fines. These fines keep the students from checking out school library books which do​ not allow them the ability to read and grow. I also need more books that help my students connect their lives to reading. I am excited to create a space that will encourage a love of reading!
