Our students are interested in sharing what they learn in grades 7 and 8 to help the students coming up behind them to have a head start. "We will be masters of our own ideas when we can teach them to little kids." Student Quote: "They can be even better than us because we will show them how big ideas can grow. We can use the Wedo kit to show the little kids how they can apply the same ideas in physics that we use in Robotics, but they can use the Wedo legos to make it easier for them." We are fortunate to have students who are exceptionally enthusiastic about participation in the First LEGO League Robotics Tournament. In the past our students have won trophies at the regional and state level! The tournament allows our students a way to learn on a level playing field with students from more metropolitan and wealthy school districts in friendly competition and apply core values of cooperation and gracious professionalism. The students want to teach what they learn to the younger students. The idea is to be able to understand the concepts well enough to teach them, using a LEGO kit that is appropriate for younger students.
