These resources will provide my students with real-world, hands-on, competitive, creative problem-solving activities. We need our children to learn how to face challenges and overcome difficulties, to be able to work collaboratively, and to learn effective trial-and-error methodologies. These kits will give my students the chances to learn those soft skills along with the book knowledge and curriculum content. They will LOVE competing with each other to build the trebuchet that throws objects the farthest, and racing balloon-powered cars to see whose goes the fastest. They will have to reflect upon their work to realize what they did right, and where they need to tweak for next time.
