Having a disability does not mean you can't manage your money! A huge part of being an adult is being able to manage your finances. It can be very stressful, but powerful! Students in the Financial Literacy course will improve their skills with money. Students have a wide range of understanding finance and will benefit from individualized lessons based on the present levels. Some students may use the cash register to practice customer service and counting change. Other students may use the text to understand the value behind earning interest in a savings account. The purpose behind these supplies is to provide students with disabilities a variety of interactive lessons that connect to using money in the real world. Students need to understand the concepts behind financial literacy as well as have hands-on practice with those skills. The supplies for this course will support many modalities and all types of learners.
