As a bilingual education elementary teacher, I have a diversified classroom that includes: low-social economic students, regular education students, special education students, dyslexic, bilingual, and even non-English speakers. A good novel is a great way to bring students from any educational and economic background together. These books will allow me to create hands, engaging activities for my fourth grade students to practice a variety of Literacy skills in our Project-Based Learning approach. As a teacher, infusing a life long love of reading is one of the greatest gifts I can give my students. These books will continue to enhance the print, rich classroom that I strive to create. The books are age appropriate class set novels which will guide my classroom instruction and will encourage my students to work together in order to become independent readers. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy. Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to read. With these new books and my classroom instruction, my students will be one step closer to becoming great, independent readers.
