These books will enhance the rich classroom library that I have created for my students! Research shows that reading can help kids develop empathy and creativity, and lead to academic and personal success. I see a love of reading as a foundation to support my student’s emotional and moral growth. The texts that I have requested will be used for literature circles where kids get to choose what they read! With these new books, my students will be able to choose a book that is interesting to them and take ownership of their learning! Choice is so important to engagement.
