The students in 9th grade are required to learn about the Holocaust in Social Studies. Reading this novel will allow me to bring a cross curricular lesson to the students. We also plan to see the plan at the local community college in the spring. This is a great opportunity to help my students learn in a holistic way. Cross curricular activities are a great way for students to connect the content that they are learning and apply that information in a more meaningful way. Students will also been tested on this information on the American History End of Course exam.
