Students that I work with come in needing their sensory needs met to help them be successful during the day. All of the items that I've requested will help students have appropriate sensory tools to allow them to meet their goals and remain on track with their academics. These items, like the putty and motion bubbler, will also help to create a warm and cozy area for students who need to take a break and regroup themselves to be able to go back into their classroom appropriately and end their days in a positive way. By donating to this project, you're helping students increase their focus and attention which will help increase their academic achievements. Students will be allowed flexible seating, with the rug and bean bag chair, that will allow students to be comfortable while learning. For those students who are having a hard time, the use of sensory putty and a lap pad will allow students to have appropriate sensory output. Our classroom will also benefit from the addition of new social stories to enhance our social skills curriculum.
