In this STEM project, students get the chance to build their dream car and race it. We use 1;25 scale model car bodies and build chassis under them. Students use piano wire and flat brass to build the chassis. They use a 12v motor to power the slot car. The student enjoy the lessons they learn because they can see it firsthand. The math equations and formulas make more sense when Y Z mean something . They are learning while having fun. Students learn Gear ratios, Engineering skills, Soldering skills, Electrical theory and much more. The students enjoy the spirit of competition. as they race against classmates.
