Engaging books are so important in ensuring a love for reading for a lifetime. Reading encompasses all sorts of good things. It increases brain power and memory function and so much more. However, I don't have a large collection of books that will hold my students' interests, and I know engaging books are key for captivating their interest in reading. Therefore, I am choosing the hot and new book series "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" to pique my students' interest in reading. I hope that they will continue to want to read the whole series. My goal is to be able to provide each student with their own copy. We will be doing a novel study with the book. During the novel study, my students and I will share our thoughts about the book, participate in projects relating to the book, and ultimately act out parts of the story.
