Currently, in my classroom, we were using metal stools that did not hold up over the course of last year. My 30 young witches and wizards are entering their new house in need of seating for small groups. Our classroom will have 4 houses, each house with a different color and different attribute to help the students strive to achieve as a community of learners. The red stools will represent Gryffindor and the value of courage and bravery, the green stools will represent Slytherin and the value of leadership and resourcefulness. The bronze stools will represent Hufflepuff who value hard work and dedication (we will add yellow vinyl emblems to each of these stools.) Finally, the white stools will represent Ravenclaw whose value is creativity and intelligence (we will add blue vinyl emblems to each of these stools.) It is my hope that these stools will help my students embody the characteristics of their houses.
