My students have Advisory 30 minutes per day. Each day of the week has a different theme and Mondays are "Read a Book Monday." Every Monday starts with a chance for students to develop a love and passion for reading. Many of my students do not have books at home and are developing readers. This library will be a resource for my students that don't go to the public library or the library here at school. Our school library is only open on Wednesdays and our students don't always have a chance to check out a book. With this project my students will always have a book to read!
