Extra, Extra! Current Event Classroom Magazines! This project will allow all of 3rd grade students at my school to have another element of exposure to non-fiction, high-quality, and academic literacy. Introducing these magazines to my students will allow me to teach them literacy using real life examples of how non-fiction is used in everyday life. By donating to this project, you will give over 40 students weekly and monthly subscriptions to Time and Scholastic Magazines, which I will build mini-lessons from and incorporate into my weekly lesson plans of English Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science. I remember having classroom magazines in school when I was in elementary school and it fostered a love of reading and excitement- I had something new to look forward to each week. With your donation, you will help change the lives of over 40 students and help foster a love of lifetime reading!
