I teach students that have been left behind for a year with regards to their reading and writing skills. They are now in 7th grade and most have lost any love for reading. I want to show them how books can open their world and show them that their relationships with their classmates can also be academic while they discuss and love books together. It is my hope that having books in their hands and not online will help break the trauma of last year's online teaching and show them that books are windows into a better place.

About my class
