Scientists have discovered that it takes 400 repetitions for our brains to learn something new. That’s a lot of practice. But here’s the great news that same learning can occur with just 10-20 repetitions if using a game!! During math class my students spend time working in groups, with a partner, or independently, while I work with a small group of students. My students’ math abilities also vary greatly, with some working on early numeracy skills and other able to tackle more challenging math concepts. These math games will help my students practice many different math concepts at a variety of different skill levels. My 3rd grade math students need lots of practice with many different math skills to make the gains necessary to be successful in math, and in life!! They will be able to use these math games daily to make learning essential math concepts more fun. Help me give them the opportunity to achieve their fullest potential.
