All of my students need assistance with regulating their behavior. The students are in an inclusion setting. Middle school can be quite daunting at times. They are allowed to access sensory items throughout the day to deescalate. These tools allow students to take a much needed break to get back to learning. My students are very successful when given the necessary tools. They can also earn a break to use the sensory items. It is used as a reward and a coping strategy. Ultimately, these tools allow the students to engage in their lessons with their peers. Thank you!
